Email Application comparison between gmail, office 365 and godaddy

Today i got a call from potential client about email appliance that can be used for their office environment.

In this blog post, i will compare certain enterprise email provider that are available on the internet.
of course, there are many other small email provider, i will cover only the famous and big one's.

Comment	Have experience using this as an alternative email. But, we used it mainly just for Gdrive file sharing.	My last company is an education company, so office 365 comes free and we have experience experimenting with them.	No experience using this. Need to purchase own domain name.	This is a website plan. You can create your company website using this plan. The email comes with the plan.

You can hire Microsoft to install On-Premise Exchange server.

This step is way too expensive. You have to purchase roughly, A new server (with certain requirement) + Microsoft Windows Subscription (Server + Staff) + Microsoft Exchange License + Microsoft Office License + etc.

Finally,

As for Internet speed. From my experience, email do not take a lot of bandwidth. Minimum internet is sufficient.

While googling, i also find one interesting email provider called thegigabit.

What interest me is that they offer a lot of security measurement. example like email redundancy, periodic backup, reporting and Premiun Anti-Spam and Anti Virus. Also, Dedicated IP for your email so that you dont have to share with others.

What should you have? it depends on your office environment. Large environment require more resources and should consider creating your own on-premise exchange. for small environment, office365 and gmail is a good start. For client that prefer more confidential email, can try exabytes and thegigabit as its offer encryption. Furtermore it is hosted in Malaysia so you can count on the speed and performance.
